Pray for Samuel (as he lives out his Eurocentric-outdated-inane existence).

The purpose of this blog is to build up an army of prayer warriors who will lift me up as I minister in Taiwan. I am planning on posting requests once weekly. I'm asking y'all to please take time in your devotions to bring these requests before the Father and ask Him to work His will in each situation.

Wow, I'm feeling great right now. 上帝真的對我們好! God really treats us great! God has been teaching me to be content even in situations that aren't exactly how I want them to be. I don't want to be teaching elem. school. I miss BJ. I miss Shawn (no room mate is REALLY BORING!) But when I rest in knowing that God has my best at heart, there is a wonderful freedom to just enjoy life.

I love my life here in Kinmen. I love sitting under a street light holding English class with my high school friends because they forgot to get the key to our classroom. I love making weird noises as I split a class into teams and watching their reactions. I love calling my family and hearing their voice over the phone. I love hearing something in Chinese and understanding it. I love my 3rd grade at my Monday school. I love getting emails from my friend Larry (I would say that I love getting emails from Josiah, but as that hasn't happened in a while....hint hint!) Life is just generally awesome.

---Ok, I've started the process of apply for college and scholarships. Pray things work smoothly, esp given the distance and time difference I'm having to work against.

---Pray for Summer, a girl in my Wednesday night class. The last two weeks she has brought up the fact that she doesn't think God listens to prayer, and I've shared the story of my name with her.

---Pray for a 6th grade girl named Lisa. Her brother lives here at the dorm and she often comes for the weekend. I'm not sure what exactly is going on in her life, but in the past few months she's gone from one of the happyist and funnist girls I know to a sullen, angry ticking bomb.

---Pray that our team would be able to become better friends with our translator, Terry.

Bye!
